VIDEO: Blatant BBC Propaganda

Propaganda is information that is not objective and is used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis or perception or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is presented. Propaganda is often associated with material prepared by governments, but activist groups, companies and the media can also produce propaganda.

TruePubica Editor: What you have just read in that paragraph is the official description of propaganda as we understand it. It will strike a chord when watching independent filmmaker Graham Phillips’ take on a recent BBC piece presented by the innocent-sounding and popular globe-trotting presenter in “Russia With Simon Reeve.”

Described by the BBC as “One hundred years after the Russian Revolution, Simon Reeve embarks on an extraordinary three-part journey across Russia” – where the scale of blatant propaganda in this episode is really quite astonishing. It assumes that the average viewer is too mentally ill-equipped to cope with modern life today. It assumes no-one has heard of ‘fake news’ and the ‘post-truth’ world we now inhabit.

This is not a film that surreptitiously leads the story towards a certain bias favoured by the British government – this is overt propaganda funded by the British public through a mandatory TV licence.
