Top 4 worries of the UK population
- In August 2023, according to Statista – 65 per cent of British people thought that the economy was the top issue facing the country.
- This compares with 40 per cent who think that public health or the functionality of the NHS is the next biggest issue facing the country.
- Statista may have forgotten that the ongoing cost of living crisis afflicting the UK, driven by rampant inflation is clearly one of the main concerns of Britons in 2023 – as the question is not asked.
- But then, small boats/immigration and the environment are next biggest compared to other issues not asked like – elderly care, education, infrastructure and so on. It’s what you ask and how you ask it that matters!
