Obama Indifferent to Violence and Human Suffering

America is the greatest purveyor of violence in world history. No other regime ever matched its barbarity on a global scale over a longer duration, its contempt for human rights and welfare.

It operates beneath the phony facade of supporting right over wrong, might alone enforced to serve its imperial interests.

Obama is the latest in a long line of rogue US leaders, contemptuous of rule of law principles and democratic values – responsible for global violence and instability, indifferent to cops turning US streets into battlegrounds, licensed to kill with impunity.

According to the Killed by Police initiative, cops killed 1,199 victims last year, mostly people of color, mainly Black male youths, a testimony to US viciousness.

America’s longstanding culture of violence at home and abroad fosters an out-of-control environment, sanctioned at the federal, state and local levels. Nothing in prospect suggests responsible change. Things continually go from bad to worse.

Obama’s thinly veiled scheme “to keep guns out of the wrong hands” belies US proliferation of endless horrendous violence globally, responsible for the loss of millions of lives and unspeakable human misery.

His phony executive action to make US communities safer is a complete hoax, a PR stunt by a rogue leader, responsible for violence worldwide – at home and abroad, waging endless wars, supporting killer cops.

His feigned concern for gun violence victims is duplicitous and meaningless, an insult to family survivors, an initiative accomplishing nothing.

Executive action does nothing to curb America’s longstanding addiction to endless wars and violence on a global scale, indifferent to the human cost.

Anyone wanting virtually any type firearms in America can get them as easily as buying chewing gum or toothpaste – with firepower able to commit wholesale slaughter.

Militarized police use powerful weapons indiscriminately with full support from Washington – gunning down innocent victims threatening no one unaccountably.

Obama’s executive action is a travesty of justice, a scheme steeped in deception, a sham effort to burnish his rogue image, his horrendous rap sheet a testimony to viciousness – contemptuous of everything righteous he claims to support.

New York Times editors reacted as expected, deceiving their readers, irresponsibly claiming his executive action will keep “guns from people likely to use them in crimes, and enforcing gun laws already on the books” – absurdly calling his action “a sensible and proven approach to reduce gun crime.”

Obama achieved no change in America’s longstanding culture of violence – operating extrajudicially, glorifying wars in the name of peace, enforcing police state harshness domestically – a nation unsafe and unfit to live in.

Today it’s more true than ever. Freedom, equity and justice are four-letter words in a nation exclusively serving its privileged few – all others be damned.
