TruePublica signs UN News media partnership and launches Video News

TruePublica Editor: I am really pleased to announce our latest media partnership after signing agreements with UN News via its New York office.

In today’s more uncertain world, the United Nations is a hugely important intergovernmental organization tasked with maintaining international peace and security and being a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations. We need this more than ever.

The UN was founded in 1945.  It is currently made up of 193 Member States.  Due to the powers vested in its Charter and its unique international character, the UN can take action on the issues confronting humanity in the 21st century, such as peace and security, climate change, sustainable development, human rights, disarmament, terrorism, humanitarian and health emergencies, gender equality, governance, food production, and more.

One tiny thing to mention from this year’s UN General Assembly Summit in New York is that a group of celebrities (which we are not yet allowed to say who) will push for $350 billion (about 20% of global military spending) in annual investment to end extreme poverty, in what organizers call “The POSSIBLE Dream.” They are committing to a year-long campaign finishing September 26, 2020, with the “largest cause-related live event broadcast in history across 5 continents.”

We’ll bring you the latest from front lines of war, famine and persecution zones, how the global water and climate crisis is being tackled and much more in conjunction with UN News.

TruePublica and NewsPublica will now also be featuring video news and articles in partnership with UN News along with fourteen other media partners.

Apart from publishing around twenty articles a week, TruePublica posts ten ‘NewsFacts’ to the HomePage a week and now ten videos of news all centred around the political economy of Britain and the global issues Britain has an interest in.

TruePublica has also started a new project, which will index Britain’s performance by comparison to the rest of the world. We will collect data on education, health, press freedom, law and order, corruption, the economy, democracy and state intrusion into a single index and publish the results annually. This type of data is not collated by any government agency or think tank but it will be vital to understand which direction the country is heading in a (possible post-Brexit) less certain world.

One project we would like to develop is an exclusive ‘opinion former’ using the strapline – “if it’s a matter of opinion, make yours matter” to assist readers in forming their own in a very fast-changing world. We would like to offer exclusive points of view on current events that affect us all in the UK from some of the most respected independent journalists, writers and researchers. However, this costs money. So, if you would like to help our cause of writing, publishing and aggregating the truth so you don’t have to search for it – please consider donating. Every penny helps – it really does. Most donations are £12, which can be done easily, quickly and securely right HERE.
