Rishi Sunak - The Tory 'Yes' Man in No11

TruePublica Editor: It never ceases to surprise me that politicians whose own heritage mean that under today’s political regime, it is more than highly doubtful that their own families would be allowed into the country. Although himself born in Southampton, his grandparents were born in Punjab, India and immigrated to the UK from East Africa in the 1960s. While I have no information on this right now, it is fair to hazard a guess and say his grandparents moved after Kenya and Uganda gained independence from Britain in the 1960s and new African leaders such as Idi Amin forced Indian workers to leave.

Leaving that aside, here is Sunak’s voting history. As you can see, he is a true right-wing Tory and although totally inexperienced for such high office – he will be the ‘Yes’ man of Number 11 Downing Street. Sunak voted for Britain to leave the EU and backed it all the way since. A hard-Brexiteer.
